The frame of the G3-X started with Colnago’s road success and was altered to suit gravel racing. The frame is optimized around a 40mm tire for optimal comfort on tough terrain. The stiffness is claimed to be the same as their flagship V3Rs road race bike but with an altered carbon construction. Targeted areas on this bike utilize thickened tube walls to reduce the risk of damage to the frame. Rubber guards are also featured on various parts of the frame to avoid carbon damage.
